Wawa
Wawa is found in most countries in West Africa, especially Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast and the Cameroons. The timber is creamy-white to pale yellow in colour with little or no distinction between the sapwood and heartwood.
Wawa dries quickly and has good strength properties.
The main use for Wawa lippings are for coffin beading, whereas in raw material form, it is used for interior joinery.
