Mahogany Logs
African Mahogany originates from West Africa, from the Ivory Coast to Gabon. It is part of the Khaya species. African Mahogany grows to a height of 30m with lengths of 25m.
The drying process is fairly quick, and African Mahogany has good nailing and screwing properties which will finish nicely to a high polish.
The main uses for African Mahogany are exterior joinery (boats) and interior joinery (furniture)
